FELONY OR 3 OR MORE DMV DUI SUSPENSIONS WITHIN 10 YEARS
IF you have suffered 3 or more DUI convictions or suspensions the DMV will suspend your license for two years. This is a full suspension period. More importantly if you are convicted of a felony DUI then your license will be REVOKED for four years. This means you cannot drive at all for four years. In order to get your license back after the four year revocation period you must do the following:
- Wait the entire four year period,
- Enroll in and complete the 18 month alcohol school program.
- Contact your insurance company and asked them to send a SR-22 to DMV. Make sure they do it right then.
- Go to DMV and pay $140 re-instatement fee. Once they verify that you have done the above your driver’s license will be fully re-instated.
